East Grinstead is getting a new athletics track. After 48 years of making do, we're finally getting the right facilities. But we have one chance to get this right.

What's Actually Happening
This isn't a dream or a vague plan. Planning approval was confirmed in January 2026. Here's what we know:

Why Now Matters
The development is happening. The school is being built. Infrastructure is being planned. Right now is when we shape what the athletics facility looks like.
In 2 years, it will be too late. We get one chance to ask for a complete track (jumps, throws, support facilities) instead of a partial one.

Since 1978, East Grinstead Athletic Club has built something remarkable. County champions. International athletes. Young people discovering their passion for track and field.
All without a dedicated track.
We've trained at borrowed facilities, traveled to competitions, and made compromises. We've achieved amazing things despite these constraints. Imagine what we can do with the right home.

We're Asking for a Complete Track
Not a partial facility. Not a compromise. Here's what we need:
🏃 400m Track
Professional-grade running surface with proper lanes, drainage, and lighting for evening training.
🦘 Jump Areas
Long jump, high jump, triple jump. These disciplines open doors for young athletes and enable full competition.
💪 Throws Ring
Shot put, javelin, hammer. Core athletics disciplines that attract diverse talent and build community.
